    What To Expect
A patient should meet with a psychiatric provider if they feel an evaluation for medication might be helpful for their mental health and overall functioning. At an initial visit a patient can expect to discuss their current symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options. Information will also be gathered about physical health and lifestyle concerns. We take the entire person into consideration, not just their symptoms!

At the end of the appointment there will be a collaborative discussion about possible treatment options including, but not limited to medication management, referrals to other professionals, lifestyle changes, and other collaborative approaches.

Time will be given for patients to ask any questions they might have about treatment options or concerns. If medication is prescribed, the provider will plan a follow-up visit in a few weeks or the following month.

Initial appointments are 60-80 minutes and follow-up appointments are 20-30 minutes depending on the patient’s needs.

    What To Expect
During a therapy intake appointment with Precision, you can expect the start to a warm therapeutic relationship. Most importantly you will have a chance to be heard and discuss why you are reaching out for support.

You may ask any questions you have about the therapeutic process and the therapist’s approach. Your therapist will review practice policies and intake paperwork.

As a client of Precision you can expect compassionate, competent care from experienced therapists and counselors with a diverse repertoire of treatment modalities.

  • Couples therapy can help you to nurture your relationship and find greater understanding of both your partner and relationship. We can work with you to improve your relationship or marriage by identifying unhelpful cycles and communication patterns, deepening connection and intimacy, repairing old wounds, developing active listening, learning how our families of origin impact our adult romantic relationships, working toward a secure attachment in our relationship, and more.

    What To Expect
We provide a free 15-minute consultation with one or both partners to find out what your needs are, answer any questions you might have, and determine what your scheduling needs are. If the partners and therapist decide we might be a good fit, then we will schedule our first session together. The first session includes both partners and will consist of the therapist stepping into your world to learn about the history of your relationship, the way you interact with one another, what you feel works well, and what you want to improve.

The second and third sessions are individual sessions with each partner. These sessions allow each partner to express themselves freely, begin to establish a therapeutic relationship with the therapist, and help the therapist get to know each partner as an individual. There are often a few assessments that will be conducted in these individual sessions as well. After that, in the fourth session, the therapist will provide observation and evaluation from the first three sessions, we will collaboratively come up with a plan for how to proceed in our work together, and set goals.

Our couples therapist utilize Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Method, and more in their treatment methods.

Please Note: Insurance is not accepted for Couples & Marriage Therapy.
