Christa Lopiccolo, LCSW-C earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and has since worked in diverse settings including residential and outpatient addiction treatment facilities as well as outpatient mental health and rape crisis center. Christa is trained in several trauma-focused approaches, specifically EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, as well as skills-based approaches, such as DBT. Christa has experience working with individuals struggling with PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, addiction, codependency and relationship issues, OCD, and various other diagnoses. Christa’s approach to therapy is founded on the belief that the “work” begins with self-compassion and curiosity. Christa is also able to provide therapy through a Christian perspective for those who seek to integrate their faith into the healing process. Outside of work, Christa enjoys spending time with friends and family, spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, watching Notre Dame football and watching the latest Marvel movies and TV series.
