Amy Haesler, LMSW
Social Worker
My name is Amy Haesler, LMSW. I graduated in 2004 with a Masters in Social Work from The University of Maryland at Baltimore. I have worked as a Therapist at Precision Mental Health since 2022, following fourteen years in Intensive Outpatient Community Mental Health and three years in a medical setting.
I believe that knowledge is power. I recognize the roles white supremacy, ableism, racism, bigotry, and neurotypical social norms play in negatively affecting our lives on a personal, environmental, and community level. I work primarily with adult clients experiencing adjustment issues, masking, and burnout/shutdown from being (formally diagnosed or self-identified/suspected) ADHD and/or Autistic in a neurotypical world.
I address issues of Depression, Anxiety, Anger Management, Bipolar, BDD, BPD, Chronic Illness, Grief/Loss, Loneliness, Pre-and Postnatal Depression/Anxiety, PTSD, PMDD, S.A.D., Self-Esteem issues, Sleep Problems, Stress, Suicidal Feelings, and Trauma.
I am an AuDHD practitioner specializing in working with Autistic, ADHD, Poly, Jewish, LGBTQIA2S+, and kink-identified folx. We can work together to identify your own unique strengths and needs and empower you to be the best, most authentic version of yourself.
I utilize a variety of approaches-- Neurodiversity Affirming, Gender Affirming, Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, Decolonizing, Positive Psychology, and Trauma-Informed, using CBT and Motivational Interviewing techniques, among others.
