Shane Hebeisen received a Bachelor’s of Arts in psychology from Ithaca College. He holds two Master’s degrees in clinical mental health counseling and professional counseling from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hebeisen is experienced in providing individual therapy and family therapy to adults and teens, as well as in providing group therapy to teens. He believes that therapy is not effective without a strong therapeutic relationship and therefore highlights the building of this through approaching each client with genuineness, empathy, and respect. His approach to therapy is person-centered and draws on CBT, motivational interviewing, DBT, and behavioral activation interventions.
Mr. Hebeisen is experienced in treating anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, OCD, and persistent complex bereavement disorder. He is experienced in the application of CBT interventions, the instruction of mindfulness practices, and crisis management.
The clinical interests of Mr. Hebeisen include social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, health anxiety, chronic illness, and grief. His favorite pastimes are spending time with his wife, their two corgis, and playing/designing tabletop games.
